she gave a small flick of her wrist as her wand pointed toward a small pebble not too far from her feet. with a short and quick movement, it rose in the air and lingered, then hovered toward the gap between her and the boy. perhaps it wasn’t wise to show off her magic like that to someone she barely knew, but having just come of age, she was excited about the fact that she could do magic freely.
